Highlights: Athens – Ziria – Kalavryta – Diakofto

Welcome at Athens airport. Athens sightseeing with Acropolis and its new museum. Transfer to Trikala Corinth. Overnight at Trikala.

The area has a large number of trekking trails of amazing beauty and views. Depending of the group capabilities, with the help of our guide, we’ll select one of Varnevo – Flamburiatsa or Feneos – Zarouchla, or a similar one. Then transfer to Kalavryta for overnight.

Note: Alternatively we can have a 2 day trekking Feneos – Kalavryta, Grade moderate.

The path of Odontotos (Cog railway) is one of the most impressive in Greece. Apart from its idyllic landscapes that make up the dense vegetation and crystal clear waters of the river, highlight the route is the cave of “the Court” because of stalagmite formations and the “siphon”, a narrower passages of the gorge.

You can walk the gorge upwards or downwards. By using the cog railway from Kalavryta to Diakofto and starting the hiking from Diakofto upwards to Kalavryta or vice versa for descending walk. Overnight at Kalavryta.

Trekking altitude : Kalavryta 700m –  Diakofto 150m

Trekking time:   3 – 4  hours   Total  time :  4 – 5 hours
