Day 1
Arrival to Athens
Arrive to Athens and transfer to your hotel in the Athens city centre. Visit Plaka, the old town and optionally take a night enjoyment in a traditional Greek tavern with folklore program with Greek dances, Greek food and wine.
Day 2
Athens – Santorini
In the morning we will take the Athens sightseeing tour visiting Acropolis and the museum, Syntagma sq., Olympis stadium and the temple of Zeus. In the afternoon, transfer to Pireaus and ferry to Santorini. Upon arrival transfer to the hotel.
Days 3-5
Santorini
Late afternoon transfer to Piraeus to get the evening ferry boat (8hrs deck class) to Santorini island. Transfer to your hotel for a 2 nights stay at Santorini, the lost Atlantis according to many researchers. Three full days in the island to explore the nice beaches and villages of Santorini by your own and admire the fantastic sun sets of Santorini. Additionally take a full day cruise around the breath-taking island of Santorini. Board on a sailing boat and sail to the island of Nea Kameni. Walk up to the still active volcano for a view of the Caldera. The cruise continues to the island of Palea Kameni, where you will have the opportunity to swim in the warm waters of the bay. Continue to the island of Thirassia, where you may choose to ride a mule to the village of Manolas. Return to the port of Athinios in Santorini, passing by the beautiful cliffs and Oia. Don’t miss to visit, at Akrotiri, the ruins of a Minoan city which had been destroyed around the year 1500c B.C. by an eruption of the volcano of Thera.
Days 6-9
Paros – Ios
In the morning we take the ferry to Paros. Paros is by size the third island of the Cyclades group, combining natural beauty, culture and fun. The visitor can start his tour from Paroikia’s harbour, have some time to relax in the nice little coffee-shops lining the island’s picturesque alleys and then stop by the Archaeological Museum of Paros to get an idea about the history of the island that has been populated since the beginnings of the Late Neolithic Period, due to its location in the central Aegean. In the afternoon we will take the ferry to Ios.
The next day we will have a tour on Ios island. The tour start from the archaeological area Skarkos, then we visit the arch. Museum and walk through the capital will to the famous 12 windmills. Some of them until recently were used. Now they are used as museum and souvenir shop. Transfer to the anc. amphitheatre, which offers a beautiful view of Mylopotas beach. Drive in the direction of St. Theodori famous for its castle situated on a hill and the remains of a Roman aqueduct. In the evening we will have free time for swimming.
Day 10
Departure
Early morning ferry to Piraeus and transfer to Athens airport.
