Upon arrival of your cruise ship, pick up and transfer to the Athens city center for your tour. We will visit first the Beth Shalom Sephardic Synagogue, which is the Athens main synagogue and also across the street the old Romaniote synagogue which is now primarily open for the high holidays. They are both located at the historical old jewish quarter of Thission. Our next stop will be the Jewish museum where you will have a guided tour and information on the history of the Jews of Greece. Free time in Plaka area to walk around the traditional pedestrian streets and shops. An expert guide will then guide you to the Acropolis, the architectural masterpiece of the Golden Age of Athens, where lies the Parthenon, the Erecthheion, the temple of Athena Nike. We will continue with the city’s highlights like the Temple of Zeus, the Panathenaic Stadium where you can stop (where the first Olympics were held at 1896),the Greek Parliament, the University and the National Library.
Transfer back to your cruise ship when the tour ends.
