Arrival in Thessaloniki and visit to the Monastery of St. Apostle John the Evangelist in Souroti where the grave of St. Paisios. Transfer to the hotel, dinner and overnight.

Breakfast in the hotel. Transfer to Veria, where there is a chapel with a tribune of the Apostle Paul. Not far from Veria, in the gorge of the River Aliakmonas is male monastery of St. John the Baptist, built on the site of the cave, where Gregory Palamas lived for five years. Later we visit the church with the icon of Panagia Sumela, which came here in the exchange of populations in 1920. We transfer to Igoumenitsa and take a ferry to Corfu. Hotel accommodation. Dinner.

Liturgy at the Cathedral of St. Saint Spyridon. After breakfast visit the church of St. John the Baptist. A visit to the town cemetery, where he was buried Arseniy Cappadocia. Return to Igoumenitsa. Dinner in Local tavern and transfer to Ioannina – a beautiful city on the shores of picturesque Lake Ioannina. Hotel accommodation.

Early breakfast and transfer to Konitsa. Hike at the gorge of the river Aos, about 4.5 km to visit Stomion Monastery – an ancient monastery, was restored from the ruins of the St. Paisios. A visit to the church of St. Barbara. Transfer to Kalabaka. Hotel accommodation. Dinner.

Meteora Monasteries, heaven on earth-one of the most attractive part of Greece. Huge monolithic rock height of over 600 meters rushed into the hermit’s cells (briefly). Visit two active monasteries and the ancient hermit’s cells (briefly). Moving to Thessaloniki. On the way visit the Church of St. Paraskevi at the Tempi valley. Hotel accommodation. Dinner.

After breakfast, introduction to Thessaloniki: examination of the ancient city walls of the Upper Town – Ano Poli. Walking tour of Thessaloniki, visiting the temple of St. Paul, the church of Panagia Ahiropiitos, the church of St. Holy Wisdom. Introducing the Cathedral of St. Gregory Palamas and of St. Theodora. Visit the Temple of Demetrius – patron saint of the city. Visit the Roman Forum, which was built on the site of the ancient Greek agora. Then we will walk along the waterfront Thermal Gulf, White Tower – the symbol of the free Thessaloniki. Return to the hotel. Dinner.

Liturgy in the monastery of St. Anastasia. A visit to the monastery of the Annunciation in Ormylia. Visit of the unique church of St. Andrew. Return to the hotel. Dinner. Optionally we can organize a Greek night with live traditional music in a tavern.

Breakfast in the hotel and transfer to Thessaloniki airport. Flight back home.
