Highlights: Ouranoupoli – Souroti – Mount Athos – Thessaloniki

Arrival to Thessaloniki. Meeting at the airport and transfer to Ouranoupoli – last worldly point before Athos. On the way visit the Monastery of St. Martyr Anastasia. The second monastery – St. John the Evangelist in Souroti, where the grave of St Paisius of the Holy Mountain. Accommodation in a hotel in Ouranoupoli. Dinner.

After breakfast, registration in representation of the Holy Mountain in the town of Ouranoupoli. Boarding the ferry with the local guide and the arrival to the monastery Docheiariou. A visit to the monastery, which holds the miraculous image of the Holy Mother “Gorgoepikoos”, the relics of St. John the Baptist, Mary Magdalene and many other Saints. Continue on foot to the monastery Ksenofont. Walk to the monastery of St. – Panteleimon. Participation in the evening service, the monastic meal. Overnight in the monastery of Saint Panteleimon.

Liturgy and morning meal.  We transfer to Vatopedi Monastery – one of the oldest, largest and richest. Adoration of the shrines of the monastery. The Vatopedi keep the miraculous icon of the Mother of God, the relics of many saints. Transfer to the main temple of Mount Athos, Protat where the miraculous icon of the Mother of God “is truly meet”. Visit Monastery Kutlumus. Participation in the evening service, the monastic meal. Overnight in the monastery Kutlumus or in the monastery of St. Andrew.

Liturgy and morning meal. We take the ferry to the monastery Simonopetra, which was consecrated in honor of the Nativity. We continue to the monastery Dionisat dedicated to the Holy John the Baptist. Participation in the evening service, the monastic meal. Overnight in the monastery.

Liturgy and morning meal. We take the ferry to the monastery of the Holy Righteous Anna – Mother of the Blessed Virgin Mary – the largest and most rigorous in the monastery of St. Gore. Walk to the monastery of St. Paul. According to tradition, the monastery was built during the reign of Constantine the Great. Participation in the evening service, the monastic meal. Overnight in the monastery.

Liturgy and morning meal. On the morning we take the ferry to Ouranoupoli. Transfer to Thessaloniki. Hotel accommodation and dinner.

Breakfast at the hotel. Free day, independent visit to holy places of Thessaloniki. Optionally we can organize a Greek night with live traditional music in a tavern.

Breakfast in the hotel and transfer to Thessaloniki airport. Flight back home.
