Day 1

Arrival to Thessaloniki

Arrival to Thessaloniki, meeting with our representative and transfer to the hotel.

Day 2

Excursion to Philippi and Kavala

The first stop of the day is Philippi. This was the city to where Saint Paul the Apostle delivered his first sermon and where he established the first church in Europe. Following this visit, you will continue into the modern port city of Kavala, which was once the ancient Neapolis. After enjoying this city by the sea, you will return to Thessaloniki.

Day 3

Thessaloniki tour, Kalabaka

In Thessaloniki, you will visit the Arch of Galerius that is found at the start of Via Egnatia. Following your city-tour, you will transfer to Kalabaka. Dinner and overnight in the hotel.

Day 4

Meteora

This morning you will awaken in the home of the Meteora Monasteries. During your visit, you will be able to view stunning Byzantine art, as well as the breathtaking scenery that surrounds the Monastery. In the afternoon, transfer to Delphi.

Day 5

Delphi

Delphi is another timeless site to experience. It is believed to be the center of the ancient world. Following this visit, you will transfer to the capital of Greece, Athens. In the evening, you will enjoy dinner and an overnight in this remarkable city. Optionally we can organize Greek night with live music and dancers.

Day 6

Athens city tour, excursion to Corinth

Today we will visit Athens. You will begin with a visit of the Acropolis. After, you will ascend Areopagus, where Saint Paul spoke to the Athenians about the one and only God. While in this city, you will be able to view the ancient Agora, the former public center of Athenian life. Following your visit in Athens, you will proceed to the ancient Corinth. Under the shadow of the towering Acropolis, Saint Paul lived in Corinth for two years. Following your visit to Corinth, you will return to Athens via Corinth Canal.

Day 7

Cruise 1st day, Mykonos

After breakfast, you will proceed to the Piraeus port where you will board your 3-day cruise. The first port that you will stop at is Mykonos, the most cosmopolitan of the Greek islands that attracts visitors from all over the world. Upon arrival in Hora, you will enjoy a walking tour that will take you on the narrow cobbled streets of the city.

Day 8

Cruise 2nd day, Ephesus and Patmos

Today, you will arrive to Kusadasi. Transfer to Mt. Koressos to visit the small stone chapel that is situated upon the site of where the Virgin Mary spent her last days following Christ’s crucifixion. Following this visit, your group will walk through the Magnesian Gate to the ancient Ephesus. The last stop on the walking tour is to the Great Theatre. On your transfer back to Kusadasi, you will have the opportunity to view the Basilica of Saint John. When you embark on the ship, your journey will continue to Patmos. Upon arrival in Patmos, you will visit the monastery of Saint John the Theologian and the small museum. Later, transfer to Monastery and Grotto of the Apocalypse, where the Book of Revelations was written.

Day 9

Cruise 3rd day, Crete and Santorini

This morning you will visit Crete, Heraklion and the ancient ruins of the Palace of Knossos. This ancient palace is believed to have been the mythical Labyrinth of King Minos and the seat of ancient Minoan culture. Additionally, it is the site of where Saint Paul met the owner and captain of the ship who warned him of continuing his journey to spread Christianity in Rome. Later we sail to Santorini and upon arrival in Santorini, you will visit Thira and Oia villages.

Day 10

Cruise end and departure

Early morning arrival to Piraeus port and transfer to Athens airport for your flight home.
