Day 1
Heraklion
Day 2
Knossos site – Heraklion Archaeological Museum – Malia
Visit to Knossos site and Heraklion Archaeological Museum. Then via Malia site (visit) transfer to Sitia for overnight.
Day 3
Sitia Archaeological museum – Zakros palace – Minoan villa
During the morning, visit the Sitia Archaeological museum. Later on, Palekastro, (group has to walk a short distance till the site) and the Zakros palace. Then drive till Makry Gialos and visit a Minoan villa. Drive till Ierapetra for overnight.
Day 4
Ierapetra archaeological museum – Gournia – Nirou Chani
During the morning, visit the Ierapetra archaeological museum, then drive till Vasiliki and Gournia site. Later on, Nirou Chani and Amnissos. Overnight Heraklion.
Day 5
Fourni – Anemospilia – Vathipetro minoan villa – Archanes archaeological museum – Akropolis of Smari
Morning visit at Fourni and later on foot (approx. 45 min walk per way) visit the Anemospilia. Then the minoan villa of Vathipetro and the Archanes archaeological museum. Last visit at Akropolis of Smari. Return to Heraklion for overnight.
Day 6
Gortyna and Phaestos sites. Matala – Komos – Agia Triada
Visits to Gortyna and Phaestos sites. Then Matala, Komos and later on Agia Triada. Overnight Agia Galini or Matala.
Day 7
Monastiraki site – Armeni minoan cemetery – Tylissos site
Via Amari the Monastriraki site and the Armeni minoan cemetery. Last visit at Tylissos site. Return to Heraklion for overnight.
Day 6
Departure
Departure transfer from Heraklion airport.
