This 6-day journey through Greece combines cultural heritage, natural beauty, and scenic coastal routes.

This tour begins with arrival in Athens and travel to the mountain village of Dimitsana. Exploring the Menalo Mountain region, the Lousios River, and the historic village of Stemnitsa offers a deep connection to Greece’s natural landscapes and traditional architecture.

The route continues through Karytaina to the seaside city of Kalamata.

The adventure carries on along the Mani Peninsula, visiting Kardamyli and traveling off-road to the dramatic Cape Tenaro before reaching the port town of Gythio.

Cultural highlights follow with a visit to the Byzantine site of Mystras, then onward to Nafplio to explore Palamidi Fortress, the Old Town, and Bourtzi Castle.

On the final day, the tour concludes with visits to Ancient Epidaurus and the Corinth Canal before returning to Athens Airport for departure.

ITINERARY

6 Days Off-road Jeep tour to Central Peloponnese and Mani

Day 1 : Arrival Athens Airport, Dimitsana.

Arrival at Athens Eleftherios Venizelos Airport. Meet your permanent Greek escort. Jeep procedure and depart towards Tripoli – Central Peloponnese.

After the Artemision tunnel, take the road through Levidi and Vytina via highland villages and rich forests.

Near Dimitsana you will encounter tracks to Alonistaina, Agios Georgios and side roads along the Lousios Gorge.

Nearby you will discover dirt roads passing through the Menalon Trail area (hiking trails and 4×4 off-road paths).

Overnight in Dimitsana.

Day 2 : Menalo Mountain, Lousios River, Stemnitsa, Dimitsana.

After breakfast jeep ride through Menalo Mountain, exploring remote villages following off-road trails.

Continue the jeep ride and explore the stone village Stemnitsa, passing through virgin, unique forests.

On return to hotel, hike to Prodromos Monastery, built on the cliffs of Lousios Canyon.

Overnight in Dimitsana.

Day 3 : Karytaina, Kalamata.

After breakfast visit the Water Power Museum and drive to Karytaina, a medieval fortress town. Explore the town and continue off-road paths through one of Greece’s wildest mountain ranges, Mount Lykakion.

Continue to Kalamata. Upon arrival enjoy free time to explore the Old Town and admire the Messinian Bay sea views. Optional visit to the Kalamata Oil Museum.

Arrival at the hotel for check-in and relaxation. Dinner in a local seaside tavern. Return to the hotel for overnight in Kalamata.

Day 4 : Kardamyli, Off road driving to cape Tenaro and Gythio.

After breakfast scenic coastal drive through Kardamyli, one of Greece’s prettiest villages, and continue to explore the hidden Mani Peninsula with stone villages and remote beaches.

Off-road to Cape Tenaro, the southernmost point of mainland Europe. Arrival at Gythio, check in at the hotel and have a relaxing time in a seaside local tavern. Return to hotel, overnight in Gythio.

Day 5 : Mystras, Nafplio, Palamidi, Bourtzi Castle, Nafplio.

After breakfast start your day with a visit to the famous Mystras, a Byzantine castle town.

Continue with a scenic coastal drive via Moni Elonas, a Byzantine monastery built in the 16th century and hanging on the cliffs of Mount Parnon (650m altitude), toward Nafplio (approximately 3 hours).

Arrival in the first capital city of free Greece, Nafplio. Explore Palamidi Fortress, the Old Town of Nafplio, and Bourtzi Castle, from where you can admire a sunset of unique beauty.

Check in at the hotel and enjoy free time for relaxation, combined with dinner at a local tavern. Return to the hotel for overnight in Nafplio.

Day 6 : Ancient Epidaurus, Corinth Canal,

Athens Airport, departure. Early departure to visit the Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus, famous for its exceptional acoustics.

Continue to Athens with a stop at the Corinth Canal to admire the engineering work of the project connecting the Aegean and Ionian Seas (approximately 90 m height, 6.6 km length, and 25 m width).

Arrival at Eleftherios Venizelos Airport, follow the procedure for jeep delivery and take your return flight home.
