ITINERARY
11 Days Biblical Tour of Greece with Cruise to Ephesus & Patmos – Acts of the Apostles Journey
Day 1 Arrival in Thessaloniki – Biblical Macedonia
Upon arrival at Thessaloniki Airport in Greece, you will be transferred to your hotel in Thessaloniki. This historic city holds deep significance in Biblical history, as it was one of the key locations where Apostle Paul preached the Gospel to the Thessalonians during his Second Missionary Journey (Acts 17:1-9).
You will visit the area near the ancient Roman Agora, where Paul is believed to have preached and where the first Christian community of Thessaloniki began. This vibrant city preserves layers of Roman, Byzantine, and early Christian heritage, reflecting the spread of Christianity across Biblical Macedonia.
Paul’s Epistles to the Thessalonians remain among the earliest writings of the New Testament and continue to inspire faith today. Thessaloniki stands as a profound destination for Christian pilgrims following the Footsteps of the Apostle Paul.
After settling in, enjoy a welcoming dinner and prepare for the inspiring Biblical journey through Greece and the Aegean ahead.
Dinner and Overnight in Thessaloniki.
Day 2 Philippi – Kavala – Lydia Baptism Site
A morning drive takes us to Kavala, ancient Neapolis, the port where Apostle Paul first set foot in Europe (Acts 16:11) during his Second Missionary Journey. From here we continue to Philippi, one of the most important Biblical sites in Greece.
According to the Book of Acts (Acts 16:12-40), Paul preached the first Christian sermon in Europe here and founded the first church on the continent. In Philippi, Paul baptized Lydia, a merchant of purple cloth, who became the first European Christian convert.
We visit the baptismal site of Lydia, a peaceful place of pilgrimage for Christians from around the world. Explore the impressive ruins of Philippi, including the Roman forum, basilicas, theatre, and the prison where Paul and Silas were held before their miraculous release.
Philippi later inspired Paul’s Epistle to the Philippians, a message of faith and perseverance.
Return to Thessaloniki via Kavala, where we view the port mosaics recalling Paul’s arrival in Europe.
Dinner and Overnight in Thessaloniki.
Day 3 Berea (Veria) – Vergina – Meteora Region
Today we travel to Veria (ancient Berea), where Apostle Paul continued preaching the Gospel after leaving Thessaloniki (Acts 17:10-15).
Unlike many cities, the Bereans eagerly received Paul’s message, examining the Scriptures daily. Their faithfulness is remembered today at the Bema of Apostle Paul, the traditional site where Paul addressed the people of Berea. Nearby stands the Church of St. Paul, commemorating this important moment in early Christian history.
Our journey continues to Vergina, the first capital of the ancient Kingdom of Macedonia and today a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here we visit the magnificent Royal Tombs, including the tomb of King Philip II, father of Alexander the Great. The museum reveals extraordinary treasures, golden artifacts, and frescoes from the Hellenistic era.
These discoveries provide remarkable insight into the historical world in which Christianity later spread throughout Macedonia.
In the afternoon we continue through the scenic plains of northern Greece toward Kalabaka, gateway to Meteora.
Dinner and Overnight in Kalabaka.
Day 4 Meteora – Byzantine Monasteries
This morning we visit the extraordinary Meteora Monasteries, one of the most spectacular UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Greece.
Perched atop towering rock formations, these Byzantine monasteries were founded by monks seeking solitude and spiritual devotion. Built between the 14th and 16th centuries, Meteora became an important center of Orthodox Christian spirituality and monastic life.
Today several monasteries remain active, preserving priceless icons, manuscripts, frescoes, and sacred relics that reveal centuries of Byzantine Christian tradition. Walking among these breathtaking cliffs, visitors experience one of the most inspiring spiritual landscapes in Europe.
Meteora reflects the deep faith that shaped Christian civilization in Greece, connecting the Biblical world of the Apostles with the later history of Eastern Christianity.
After exploring the monasteries, we travel south through the mountains of central Greece toward Mount Parnassus and the picturesque village of Arachova, before arriving in Delphes.
Dinner and Overnight in Delphes.
Day 5 Delphi – Athens
Today we explore Delphi, one of the most famous sacred places of the ancient Greek world. Situated on the slopes of Mount Parnassus, Delphi was known as the sanctuary of Apollo and the legendary Oracle of Delphi, where pilgrims once came seeking divine guidance.
Walking along the Sacred Way, we see the Temple of Apollo, the Athenian Treasury, the ancient theater, the stadium, and the archaeological museum, home to extraordinary statues and artifacts from antiquity.
Although Delphi represents the religious traditions of ancient pagan Greece, it provides an important historical background to the spread of Christianity during the time of the Apostle Paul.
In the afternoon we continue our journey to Athens, the intellectual and cultural center of the ancient world. Upon arrival we begin a panoramic tour including the Panathenaic Stadium, Parliament House, the Academy, and the University of Athens.
Dinner and Overnight in Athens.
Day 6 Athens – Acropolis – Areopagus (Acts 17)
Today we explore Athens, one of the most important cities visited by Apostle Paul during his Second Missionary Journey.
Our tour begins at the Acropolis, the magnificent hilltop citadel crowned by the Parthenon, the Temple of Athena and symbol of ancient Greek civilization.
Next we walk to the Areopagus Hill, where Apostle Paul delivered his famous sermon about the “Unknown God” (Acts 17:22-34). Speaking to Greek philosophers, Paul proclaimed the message of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, marking a powerful moment in the encounter between Christian faith and Greek philosophy.
We then visit the outstanding Acropolis Museum, which preserves sculptures, friezes, and masterpieces from classical Athens.
Later enjoy a unique Greek street food experience, tasting traditional flavors while exploring the lively historic center of Athens.
Overnight Athens.

Transfer to Lavrion Port near Athens to board your Aegean cruise.
Our first destination is the island of Mykonos, famous for its whitewashed houses, narrow streets, and historic windmills overlooking the Aegean Sea.
Although known today for its cosmopolitan atmosphere, Mykonos also reflects the timeless beauty of the Greek islands that once formed the maritime routes of early Christian missionaries traveling across the eastern Mediterranean.
Stroll through the charming harbor, explore the traditional alleys of Little Venice, or relax along the sparkling coastline before returning to the ship.

Day 8 Ephesus & Patmos – Biblical Revelation Sites
Today we visit two of the most important Biblical destinations in the Aegean world.
Arriving at Kusadasi, we travel to the magnificent ruins of Ancient Ephesus, one of the greatest cities of the Roman Empire and a major center of early Christianity.
Here Apostle Paul preached and lived for nearly three years during his Third Missionary Journey (Acts 19). Walking along the marble streets we see the Great Theatre, where Paul’s message caused a dramatic uprising among the silversmiths who worshiped Artemis. We also admire the Library of Celsus, the Agora, and the remains of the Temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
In the afternoon we sail to the sacred island of Patmos, where St. John the Evangelist received the visions recorded in the Book of Revelation (Revelation 1:9).
Visit the Monastery of St. John the Theologian and the Holy Cave of the Apocalypse, one of the most revered pilgrimage sites in Christianity.
Meals on board.
Day 9 Crete & Santorini
Guests may visit the legendary Palace of Knossos, associated with King Minos and the myth of the Minotaur.
Later the cruise continues to Santorini, one of the most breathtaking islands of the Aegean Sea. Built on the rim of a volcanic caldera, the island offers dramatic cliffs, whitewashed villages, and spectacular views over the sea.
Ride the cable car or traditional donkeys to the town of Fira, explore charming streets, or relax while admiring the famous Santorini sunset, considered among the most beautiful in the world.

Walking through the ancient Agora, we see the Bema (Judgment Seat) where Paul was brought before the Roman governor Gallio. We also visit the Temple of Apollo, one of the oldest temples in Greece.
